Gorgeous Smiling Hotels launches "GSH Academy" learning platform
The renowned umbrella company GSH supports employees through digital training content and live webinars that can be conveniently integrated into everyday work at any time
Munich, November 9, 2022 - Lifelong learning, no demanding without encouraging: True to this guiding principle, Gorgeous Smiling Hotels founds the "GSH Academy" as a learning platform for employees with training content from all departments and live webinars. Each department creates corresponding content on its own, which can be seamlessly and conveniently integrated into the daily work routine. Here you can currently find 70 self-made training videos such as "The perfect check-in", "Complaint handling in the restaurant", "Standards when checking rooms" and much more - digital, flexible and available at any time. The GSH Academy was launched on November 18, 2021; a mobile app is also to be launched in December 2022 in response to popular demand from employees. In addition, after a long pause due to the pandemic, the first live training sessions in the areas of communication, property management system and revenue were held again in June of this year and met with great enthusiasm.

The founding members of the Academy are Meike Bucher, Head of Human Resources, Hanjo Koch, Director of Sales, Andreas Giannopoulos, Head of Sales & Marketing - PR & Reservations and Joline Mumme, Dual Student. A few months later, the management team was expanded to include Grit Vinzens, Head of Pre-Opening, and Manuell Topell, Assistant Head of Revenue Management.

Among the 70 existing training contents, which are continuously developed further, are currently video trainings and trainings for the reception such as telephone etiquette, complaint handling and the perfect check-in/check-out as well as courses for service staff in the restaurants around the topics of greeting guests, no-go's in guest contact, complaint management and much more. Sales training includes content on lead generation and potential analyses, additional sales or upselling, and product knowledge of all hotels through virtual hotel tours. Reservation and revenue training consists of sequences of a reservation call, reservation segmentation and distribution channels. In addition, there are cross-departmental courses such as Excel Basics and Advanced Tricks, E-commerce, Social Media, Social Networking, Online Reputation Management and General Behavioral Training.
